What this map is — and isn’t
A public-record view of the shoreline, not a listing service. Assessment values are set by town assessors for taxation; they are not asking prices or appraisals.
Where the data comes from
West and south shore (Warren County): the county’s public parcel master on the 2026 assessment roll, matched to Warren County GIS lakefront-parcel layers. East shore and the north end (Dresden, Fort Ann, Putnam in Washington County; Ticonderoga in Essex County): the Lake George Park Commission parcel layer published on Warren County’s GIS service, also on the 2026 roll. Parcels pulled September 24, 2026.
Dock, mooring and marina registrations come from the Lake George Park Commission public database & map. Land-use classes come from the Adirondack Park Agency land classification map, which the APA notes is not a legal jurisdictional determination. Both retrieved 2026-09-24. Shoreline frontage is our own measurement along the county’s Lake George shoreline, checked against LGPC-recorded frontage where it exists. Zoning comes from town and village zoning layers; where none exists we show the assessment-roll code.

High vs. provisional
- High — listed in Warren County’s filtered lakefront layer and touching the Lake George waterbody.
- Provisional — in the county’s broader lakefront layer only (it can include parcels across a road), or, on the east shore, picked by a boundary-meets-the-lake spatial check because no county lakefront layer covers those towns.
Parcels that the county layers flag as lakefront on other lakes — Sherman, Trout, Glen and others — are excluded.

We publish property facts only. Owner names and mailing addresses stay off this site, even though they appear in the public roll. We don’t reproduce septic records or LGPC permit plans; for registration details, use the LGPC map.
“Shoreline frontage” is measured along the Lake George shoreline. “Lot frontage” is the assessor’s figure and is not necessarily lake frontage. A “last recorded sale” is the latest sale carried on the county assessment roll; we have not verified whether it was arm’s-length. Parcel lines are simplified for display. Confirm any detail with the town assessor or county GIS before relying on it.
